With the festival spirit in mind\, we are adding a twist to point sparring! \n\n\n\nAll who want to sign up for point sparring will want to select Tag Team Sparring. \n\n\n\nAt the tournament\, all competitors will be brought to staging and put into teams\, or better yet\, bring your own team! \n\n\n\nBlack Belt competitors will earn points based on their teams placing (example: If your team finishes in 1st place\, each team members will earn 10 points towards their individual point sparring points). \n\n\n\nTag Team Sparring Rules \n\n\n\n\nSparring round will last 3 minutes. \n\n\n\nTeams are composed of 3 players and may be same or mixed gender teams. (At the discretion of the Tournament Host.)\n\n\n\nTeam size may exceed 3 players depending on registration. If teams exceed 3 players\, time will be increased by 1 minute per player (i.e. 4 players will be 4 minutes).\n\n\n\nTeams to be composed of the same number of players.\n\n\n\nTime runs continuously unless the Center Judge indicates that time should be stopped.\n\n\n\nSame point system as point sparring (Judges call “Break” for point call: 1 point for a kick or punch to the body\, 2 points for a spin kick to the body\, 3 points for a headshot).\n\n\n\nEach competitor needs to enter the ring at least once during the round.\n\n\n\nOut of Bounds: If competitors go out of bounds\, they should be brought back to center to restart.\n\n\n\nTies may be determined by penalty points if applicable.\n\n\n\nTies will be determined by “Sudden Victory” – the first team to score a point will win.\n\n\n\nThere is no time limit on “Sudden Victory.” \n\n\n\nPoints and warnings do not carry over into “Sudden Victory.” \n\n\n\nCoaching is encouraged!\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTechnical (Sport) Poomsae \n\n\n\nIndividual Performance: Competitors perform one at a time. \n\n\n\nDesignated Forms: Each competitor will perform two pre-designated forms. Do I need an adapter to use electronic devices?\n\n\n\n\nAnswer: Do I need an adapter to use electronic devices?\n\n\n\nAnswer: Yes. When traveling from the US to South Korea\, you will need: \n\nA power adapter compatible with “Type A/B to Type C/E/F”.\n\n\n\nA voltage converter if your devices require a different voltage.\n\n\n\nCheck that your charger says 100-240V.\n\n\n\n\n\nSome USB-powered devices can use a universal USB wall adapter.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n17. I have a food allergy\, is this trip for me?\n\n\n\n\nAnswer: If you have a severe food allergy like nuts or celiac\, please know all we can do is communicate your allergy to the tour company. This does not guarantee you will be accommodated as there is a language barrier and restaurant restrictions. For example\, some restaurants only serve the regions specialty and don’t have the ability to accommodate. This trip would only be appropriate if you are willing to provide your own back up food and are understanding if your allergy is not accommodated.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n18. What is the fitness expectation for this trip?\n\n\n\n\nAnswer: This trip includes TKD Training so if you want to maximize the experience\, you will need to be in good enough shape to participate in the training sessions (unless you are a chaperone). In addition\, there is a lot of walking and lots of hills in Korea so you should be able to be at a fitness level to hang with a group walking for extended periods of time.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHere is document that covers proper etiquette when traveling with Seniors and Masters as well as dining in Korea etiquette. Please read this prior to traveling. \n\n\n\n\nClick Here for Etiquette Document\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLiability Waiver – required by all \n\n\n\n\nCLICK HERE\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n2025 Trip Recap Video and Photo Gallery \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n2025 Korea Trip Gallery\n\n\nTo view this content\, you need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser. To do so\, please follow these instructions.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Loading...\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Name \n \n \n Size \n \n \n Modified \n \n                     \n \n Ascending \n \n \n Descending \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n No options...\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMessages from 2025 Korea Trip Participants to future participants: \n\n\n\nIf you’re serious about taekwondo or even if you’re just considering going to support a family member\, absolutely go.
