Competitors will be pulled at random throughout the day and may face opponents of any age or rank so be ready for anything. \n\n\n\nIf you’ve got Keumgam game\, step up and compete throughout the day for your chance to take home the $200 cash prize! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDivision Clarification & Twists\n\n\n\n\nCreative Poomsae Rules  \n\n\n\n\nCompetition is open to individuals\, pairs and teams (3). \n\n\n\nAll poomsae will be one minute or less. Exceeding the time limit will be considered a penalty and could decide a tight match. \n\n\n\nCompetitors may use props such as weapons\, music and costumes.\n\n\n\nAge brackets will be: 12 & under\, 13-17\, 18 above\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPoint Sparring Twist \n\n\n\nHanmadang by definition means “Festival”. With the festival spirit in mind\, we are adding a twist to point sparring! \n\n\n\nAll who want to sign up for point sparring will want to select Tag Team Sparring.   \n\n\n\nAt the tournament\, all competitors will be brought to staging and put into teams\, or better yet\, bring your own team!  \n\n\n\nBlack Belt competitors will earn points based on their teams placing (example: If your team finishes in 1st place\, each team members will earn 10 points towards their individual point sparring points). \n\n\n\nTag Team Sparring Rules \n\n\n\n\nSparring round will last 3 minutes. \n\n\n\nTeams are composed of 3 players and may be same or mixed gender teams. (At the discretion of the Tournament Host.)\n\n\n\nTeam size may exceed 3 players depending on registration. If teams exceed 3 players\, time will be increased by 1 minute per player (i.e. 4 players will be 4 minutes).\n\n\n\nTeams to be composed of the same number of players.\n\n\n\nTime runs continuously unless the Center Judge indicates that time should be stopped.\n\n\n\nSame point system as point sparring (Judges call “Break” for point call: 1 point for a kick or punch to the body\, 2 points for a spin kick to the body\, 3 points for a headshot).\n\n\n\nEach competitor needs to enter the ring at least once during the round.\n\n\n\nOut of Bounds: If competitors go out of bounds\, they should be brought back to center to restart.\n\n\n\nTies may be determined by penalty points if applicable.\n\n\n\nTies will be determined by “Sudden Victory” – the first team to score a point will win.\n\n\n\nThere is no time limit on “Sudden Victory.” \n\n\n\nPoints and warnings do not carry over into “Sudden Victory.” \n\n\n\nCoaching is encouraged!\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTechnical (Sport) Poomsae \n\n\n\nIndividual Performance: Competitors perform one at a time. \n\n\n\nDesignated Forms: Each competitor will perform two pre-designated forms. Forms will be selected at random and released prior to the event (see the chart below). \n\n\n\nScoring System: Competitors receive a numeric score based on two categories:Accuracy and Presentation. \n\n\n\n⚠️ Important Registration Note: Registration for Sport Poomsae will close on April 29th. There will be no door registration for this division to allow for any necessary division adjustments\, as well as form selection and distribution. Divisions may be modified based on registrations.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPower Side/Back Kick Breaking  \n\n\n\n\nCompetitors must declare to the judge the number of breaking boards prior to starting the competition. What is the fitness expectation for this trip?\n\n\n\n\nAnswer: This trip includes TKD Training so if you want to maximize the experience\, you will need to be in good enough shape to participate in the training sessions (unless you are a chaperone).
